Roundtown

Maximizing neighborhood enjoyment

Roundtown was a website built to help users to enjoy and discover events close to them, call it a yelp for events. The team had very rough functional working concepts when I joined, and we worked collaboratively to grow it into a full-fledged experience. UI/UX design, user persona development, user testing, visual design and CSS finessing was some of the specialty I brought to the table.

The starting point

First pass at Roundtown’s sitemap.

User personas created to guide the product design process.

2 examples of wireframes produced to explore preference regarding map use, prominence, and display.

Example of feedback compilation from various user sessions.

By the time I left Roundtown, the site was much further along its path and much closer to its final state. We have worked in multiple UI/UX challenges, renamed the company, learned tons and tons, and went much further down the road of smart content curation, gathering, and editing. I am glad for my time at Roundtown where I made friends and had a blast diving in the world of startups..
